Buffalo Chicken Wraps

I’ve been working on this website for seven months and I’m loving it more and more with every recipe I post! I’m trying new things when I can, but mostly sharing my recipe box full of treats.  During this time I’ve discovered I love desserts!! Of the 78 recipes I’ve posted, 32 of them are desserts!  So…in an attempt to break my cycle of sweets, I’ve created this awesome recipe for spicy chicken and blue cheese dressing. Basically everything you love about chicken wings, stuffed in a tortilla and wrapped-up tight! The creamy blue cheese dressing helps to put out the fire and the crunchy celery sticks make for a refreshing bite! I hope you enjoy this fun and tasty recipe!


Buffalo Chicken Wraps

1/4 cup butter (4 tablespoons)
1 pound boneless skinless chicken
1/4 cup hot sauce
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon white vinegar
10 flour or wheat tortillas
1 celery stalk – thinly sliced


  1. Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper and add to the pot. Also, add hot sauce, ketchup and vinegar.
  2. Simmer and stir. Cover pot for 30 minutes, turning chicken as needed. Uncover pot, reduce heat and pull chicken apart. Allow chicken and sauce to become fully incorporated.
  3. Meanwhile, make blue cheese dressing. (Recipe below)
  4. To assemble Buffalo Chicken Wraps: fill each tortilla with a heaping spoonful of spicy chicken, one dollop of blue cheese dressing and a few sticks of celery.

Blue Cheese Dressing

1/2 cup plain yogurt
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup blue cheese crumbles
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice (1/2 a lemon)
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1 tablespoon grated onion
dash of black pepper


  1. In a small mixing bowl, combine yogurt and mayonnaise. Mix well.
  2. Add remaining ingredients. Stir dressing and cover.
  3. Refrigerate until ready to assemble wraps.

    I also try so hard to keep a balance in what I cook but alas it’s so darn difficult. Desserts always win & are truely an addiction :).

  2. Looks so good! Buffalo chicken is most definitely one of my all time favorites. I like it anyway, anytime. Yes, I do believe I would eat it for breakfast.
